112 Gather Light a candle as a sign of God’s presence and sit quietly. Ring a bell or chime to start the prayer. May the grace and peace of God be with you! And with your spirit. COLLECT Let us pray for a sense of awe and wonder. (pause) God our Father, though we have not actually seen Christ with our own eyes, open our hearts to your truth and deepen our faith in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. SCRIPTURE A reading from the holy Gospel according to Mark 6:1-2 Jesus left and returned to his hometown with his disciples. The next Sabbath he taught in the Jewish meeting place. Many of the people who heard him were amazed and asked, “How can he do all this? Where did he get such wisdom and the power to work these miracles?” The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ. RESPONSE How many miracles of Jesus do you know about? There are many wonderful stories in the Bible which tell of the miracles Jesus worked during his time on Earth.
