10 W Gather Light a candle as a sign of God’s presence and sit quietly. Ring a bell or chime to start the prayer. May the grace and peace of God be with you! And with your spirit. COLLECT Let us pray that God will raise us beyond what our eyes can see. (pause) Help us, O Lord, to love you in all things and above all things and so to come to everlasting joy. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. SCRIPTURE A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke 11:5-10 Jesus said to his disciples: “I tell you to ask, and you will receive, search, and you will find, knock, and the door will be opened for you. Everyone who asks will receive, everyone who searches will find, and the door will be opened for everyone who knocks.” The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ. RESPONSE Trusting that our God is near, let us pray with confident hope. For the leaders of our nation: (pause) We pray as one. Gracious God, hear our prayer.
