Praying Together 2021

141 Gather Light a candle as a sign of God’s presence and sit quietly. Ring a bell or chime to start the prayer. May the grace and peace of God be with you! And with your spirit. COLLECT Let us pray to our God of hope and compassion. (pause) Lord God, you created us to live and to love. Open our eyes to those who need our care. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. SCRIPTURE A reading from the letter of St Paul to the Romans 12:8-13 If we are good to others, we should do it cheerfully. Be sincere in your love for others. Hate everything that is evil and hold tight to everything that is good. Love each other as brothers and sisters and honour others more than you do yourself. Never give up. Eagerly follow the Holy Spirit and serve the Lord. Let your hope make you glad. Be patient in time of trouble and never stop praying. Take care of God’s needy people and welcome visitors into your home. The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. RESPONSE Rejoicing in God’s care for all people, let us pray for the needs of the world.
