Praying Together 2021
14 Week Gather Light a candle as a sign of God’s presence and sit quietly. Ring a bell or chime to start the prayer. May the grace and peace of God be with you! And with your spirit. COLLECT Let us pray that we will remember to ask God for help in times of need. (pause) God of healing, you fill our hearts with faith. Hear our prayers when we cry out to you, and give us health in mind and body. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. SCRIPTURE A reading from the holy Gospel according to Mark 1:40-45 A man with leprosy came to Jesus and kneeled down. He begged, "You have the power to make me well, if only you wanted to." Jesus felt sorry for the man. So he put his hand on him and said, "I want to! Now you are well." At once the man's leprosy disappeared, and he was well. The man talked about it so much and told so many people, that Jesus could no longer go openly into a town. He had to stay away from the towns, but people still came to him from everywhere. The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ. RESPONSE Because God lovingly cares for all creation we put the needs of the world into his hands.
