194 Gather Light a candle as a sign of God’s presence and sit quietly. Ring a bell or chime to start the prayer. The Lord be with you! And with your spirit. COLLECT As we rejoice in the many gifts God gives us, let us pray. (pause) Ever generous God, you bless us with so many wonderful gifts. May we take care of all you have given to us and always remember to thank you with a joyful heart. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. SCRIPTURE A reading from the letter of St Paul to the Ephesians 3:8-9, 12 Brothers and sisters: I am the least important of all God’s people. But God was kind and chose me to tell the Gentiles that because of Christ there are blessings that cannot be measured. God, who created everything, wanted me to help everyone understand the mysterious plan that had always been hidden in his mind. Christ now gives us courage and confidence, so that we can come to God by faith. The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.
