85 Gather Light a candle as a sign of God’s presence and sit quietly. Ring a bell or chime to start the prayer. The love of God be with you! And with your spirit. COLLECT Let us pray that God will live in hearts that are true. (pause) O God, shape us by your love and grace that our hearts will receive you in joy. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. SCRIPTURE A reading from the letter of St Paul to the Ephesians 3:16-17, 20-21 Brothers and sisters: I pray that God’s Spirit will make you become strong followers and that Christ will live in your hearts because of your faith. Stand firm and be deeply rooted in his love. I pray that Christ Jesus and the church will forever bring praise to God. His power at work in us can do far more than we dare ask or imagine. Amen. The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. RESPONSE In the light of this new day, let us pray that God will make of our world a new creation.
