87 Gather Light a candle as a sign of God’s presence and sit quietly. Ring a bell or chime to start the prayer. The love of God be with you! And with your spirit. COLLECT Let us pray to our God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (pause) Father all-powerful, Christ Lord and Saviour, Spirit of love, draw us in to share in your life and your love. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. SCRIPTURE A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew 28:16-20 Jesus’ eleven disciples went to a mountain in Galilee, where Jesus had told them to meet him. They saw him and worshipped him, but some of them doubted. Jesus came to them and said: “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth! Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples. Baptise them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to do everything I have told you. I will be with you always, even until the end of the world.” The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
