3 We Respond... Let us turn to God and offer our prayers today. As we listen to some quiet music, pass an item from your prayer table (eg small cross, prayer stone) around the prayer circle. When you receive the item, make a prayer either aloud or in your heart, before you pass it to the person next to you. 4 We Go Forth... May God’s Holy Spirit fill us with joy. Amen. May God bless us in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. A reading from the first book of the Kings (8:41-43) Solomon prayed to God and said: "People who live in foreign lands will hear about you and your mighty power, and they will come here to pray toward your temple. When they do, please answer their prayers from your home in heaven, so that everyone on earth will know about you and worship you, just as your people Israel do.
